-2006/03/31 Grand Forks Flooding! Ok, not really, but the English Coulee, which runs through the UND campus, has swollen with recent rainwater and snow melt. Over the past few days it has risen over 3 feet and has breached its banks, and while it hasn't damaged anything, is threatening to spread further through campus. I went outside tonight and shot some nighttime flooding scenes from next to my dorm. With rain forecast for the next few days, the coulee is expected to continue rising throughout the week. The Red River continues to rise at an exponential rate and should top flood stage tomorrow. Click Here to view water level information for the Red River in Grand Forks.
