Floods can result from many different factors, such as snow melt, heavy rainfall, storm surges, or broken structures (dams, floodwalls, etc.).

July 1993 St. Croix River- Afton, MN: The record flood of 1993 flooded parts of the campground my family used to stay at. At the age of six, I couldn't help but want my picture taken with the flood. :-)
June 20, 2005 Arden Hills, MN: Heavy rains clogged drains at my work's parking lot and submerged nearby cars for several hours.
