Hoarfrost
The World Turned White
Hoarfrost forms in the winter when the dewpoint and temperature align. In the summer this would produce dew but in the winter a much more spectacular result occurs.
February 5, 2006 Grand Forks, ND- Woke up to go to church and got to walk through a winter wonderland. The temp that morning was around -10 degrees.
